What is the procedure if I will be out of work for a long period of time?

The company has decided to “improve” services yet again by eliminating people and requiring the bargaining unit people to manage more of their own benefits. Most types of absence and leaves will require the employee to phone the Service Center at 1-866-562-2363 and report: Medical unpaid Leave, Short Term Disability, Extended Sick and Injury leave, Family Medical Leave, Jury Duty, Military Duty, Union Official—unpaid, Peace Corps, and any unpaid child care leave.
