EQ-36 Brass Visits Plant
Thursday August 21, 2008
Brigadier General Thomas M. Cole, Program Executive Officer, Intelligence Electronic
Warfare and Sensors, Fort Monmouth, NJ made his first visit to our site. After
meeting with the Syracuse Leadership Team and a tour of High bay, Brig. Gen.
Cole addressed a contingent of employees in the Manufacturing area.
Brig. Gen Cole remarked on
how well the facility looked and how it was apparent that we practice what we
preach when it comes to Lean Manufacturing techniques including 6S.
His remarks highlight how
important the “look smell and feel” of a Lean Facility are to the customer.
“…the soldier and
taxpayers are the real customer..” said Brig. Gen
Cole, “and balancing this program to satisfy both are extremely important”,
emphasizing that “ THIS PROGRAM WILL SAVE LIVES”.
Brig. Gen. Cole has 29
years of meritorious service in the US Army.
