DUES INCREASE
Starting June 1, 2008 membership dues have been increased to $10.00 per year. With the cost of refreshments going up for our meetings and postage for our get-well and sympathy cards that are sent out. We feel we had to do this. This is the first increase in over 20 years that I know of. Please note: Anyone that has sent in their $6.00 dues for year 2008 still owe $4.00
SALARY
RETIREES
It was voted on at the last meeting that salaried retirees can join the Local 320 Retirees Club with the approval of the members. If you know of anyone who would like to join let us know and it will be brought up at the meeting and voted on it.
SICK & DECEASED
Since our last newsletter Get Well card was sent to Jane Copes. Sympathy cards were sent to Kitty Noboa deceased son, Frank Sacco deceased brother, Member Luigi Liberatore deceased, Member Mike DeFeo deceased, and Don Moon deceased brother.
NEW OFFICERS
Ken Smith has been voted in as our Vice President and Martha Hess as Recording Secretary. There is an opening for Trustee to replace Mary Cavallaro who has moved to the Buffalo area. Trustee’s job has no homework or bookwork – qualifications are simple.
SCAM ARTISTS
The Scam Artists are on the loose again. If you need any work done on your home do not hire anyone that does not have proof of the business. If you need work done look in the yellow pages of your phone book for a reputable person.
MARY CAVALLARO
Mary Cavallaro has moved to Cheektowaga, NY. Mary was our long time 50-50 ticket seller and helper in getting out the news letter. Mary was there when I called her to help get the newsletter ready to mail out. She would fold and Don Green would tape the letters together and I put on the address labels, sorted them and took them to the post office. Not a big job but difficult to get any volunteers when we need them. The three of us would talk about the good old days at GE. Mary will certainly be missed. If you wish to send Mary a card, call the office (457-1750) Wed. or Thurs. and Alice will give it to you.

Immelt she would leave him alone if he addressed the issues and gave Retirees their requested COLA. Helen said, if this happens I will not hold another rally and I’m tired of walking in front of the company. Will we get a COLA?? It now remains to be seen.
